The Zebrahead song "Get Back" was the fourth most requested song on KROQ
today (Thursday) and fifth yesterday. I guess it's time for Zebrahead to
blow up!!! Congrats!!

The Street Team is nearly 100 strong already (only 3 weeks gone by). You can see the names, ages and locations of all of the members here . Columbia JUST sent out the first package to all of the team members. The package included: 10 cassette singles, 50 flyers and a personal note from the guys thanking everyone for their help. Information on siging up for the team can be found on the Street Team Page.
Most recent update from the band: "we go back to columbia again tomorrow to check what the have done on
the art so far......the big radio station out here (KROQ) has been playin a song
of the new album which is damn cool....hopefully it will get added to the heavy
rotation list...people across the country let me know
they had heard songs from the yellow album on their local stations when we were on

Got word from Ben that Zebrahead took the photos for the cd last week and are goin to check out
the proofs tomorrow......."the cover will be of a girl listening to head phones in a
modern/retro/strange room.....should look cool...the shoot went great and the model was
great"

Zebrahead's next two shows in California (7/1 & 7/2) were cancelled due to unamed
circumstances. There have been no reports as of yet of when and if these shows will
be made up.

Zebrahead will be featured on the Second Stage of the Van's Warped Tour this summer. Check them out as much as you can...you will NOT be dissappointed!!(Check out Shows for a complete tour list!)
Zebrahead, just after releasing their first independent release "The Yellow," have just
signed a record contract with label giant Columbia Records. Their first album on the Columbia label is due out sometime late August/early September and will be in record stores Nation-wide.

Just heard from Ben today, he had some new news:
"we just got a
new show the day before the minneapolis warped, it's
called pig fest w/soul fly, sepultura, coal chamber,
life of agoney..." Sounds kinda hardcore for zebrahead huh?? Oh well, I'm sure they'll blow the crowd away!!
The Columbia album title has changed to
WASTE OF MIND, which is a track on the album....and the release date is SEPT 15th...the photos are being done this thursday and the album was mastered last week (AWWWWW YEAHHHHH!!).

Zebrahead played the warped tour/ozzfest in Wisconsin yesterday! Here is a review of their set that someone sent to me: "-I caught up with Zebrahead at the Ozzfest/Warped
Tour in Sommerset, WI. They were on a side stage and when they started their set, there was maybe 50 people. By the
end of the first song, "Check", there were hundreds of people and the pit was moving. The crowd was really into the music
and the got a huge ovation at the end. When they left the stage a large group of new fans swarmed to get the CD and/or a
shirt. It was a fantastic set!" Sounds Great! I'm Jealous I missed it!!

A local radio station in Springfield, Missouri has a contest every week night
called the Cage Match. There's 2 bands, a champion and a competitor.
They play a song from each and listeners call in to tell who they liked
best. Tonight the champion was Art Alexakis and they took on Zebrahead
with Get Back from their new CD coming out October 13th. THEY WON! The
radio station is KTOZ 95.5 THE EDGE. They have their own webpage
www.ktoz.com where they might have info about the Cage Match.
Zebrahead will be competing tomorrow night!

Promo copies of Zebrahead's 'waste of mind' are out! Not for sale yet, but if you go to one of their shows, and some columbia reps are there...you MAY be able to snag a copy. It is AMAZING!! Go to the Discography page to get a track listing, and to Sounds for .wav and real audio samples of each song. 4 Songs from "The Yellow" appear on waste of mind (check, swing, walkaway, and jagoff), but all are redone.
In street team news, the team has reached it's maximum of 100 members. I will still be taking applications, but this application will only get you on Zebrahead's mailing list. If you are in an area where we need street team members, you may be called upon to be a street team member...so it's still worth applying!!

News from the road is that the tour is going great!! A lot of people showing up...even in towns that they have never played before. First week record sales exceeded the bands expectations...specific numbers haven't been reported

A TON of new news for today!!
I was listening to the Howard Stern radio show this morning as I do every morning, and right after a break they were about to bring Dennis rodman out. Well, while howard was introducing dennis, he played Zebrahead's "GET BACK" in the background! I couldn't believe my ears!! Zebrahead being played on a NATIONALLY SYNDICATED SHOW!! Thanks to a loyal Howard Fan from www.fjackie.com , I was able to get the sound clip of zebrahead's music on the show. Click Here to hear the clip!!
I receive my copy of 'waste of mind' already and saw that the band thanks me in their liner notes...probably doesn't mean too much to you all, but it meant a lot to me and I was excited...so I scanned it and you can see it Here if you are interested!!
I spend a good part of tonight (about 3 hours) transposing the lyrics of 'waste of mind' from the CD insert onto my webpage...please check it out in my all new Lyrics section. Also, if you are willing to try to figure out the lyrics to "The yellow"...please let me know.

There is so much zebrahead news, I don't really have time to write it all. Please make sure that you go to www.mtv.com or call MTV and vote to see 'get back' on the air! This is VERY important!! Also, continue to call and request zebrahead at your local radio
stations and any local video outlets in your towns as well. If local video
shows don't already have they should be getting the video very soon.
Tour With 'reel big fish' is in the works starting in January...not confirmed yet...but I will keep you posted!
Zebraheadis 33rd (5 ranks up from LW) on the modern rock chart of Billbioard magazine. They're between Alanis and Garbage.

Things are blowing up pretty quick for the guys...45 stations around the US are now playing 'get back' (how amazing is that??!!). For a list of all 45 stations, click Here.

News from the guys is that the tour is going VERY well. The cypress crowd has welcomed them with open arms (which is amazing considering how different their sounds are). They said that it's great going to towns that they have never played before and seeing people that are there to see them. Support zebrahead and go to see them (even if it means driving half-way across the country to do so).
The video for "Get Back" was filmed on 10/20 & 10/21 in Hollywood, California. The editing is now being done, so look for it on MTV (hopefully) within the next few months!
During the tour, zebrahead is catching up on sleep, and maxin & Relaxin' in their RV during their long drives across the country. They are having computer problems and have been checking email very unfrequently...so don't think they are ignoring you...they will reply eventually!
